Mexican Dream Herb (Calea zacatechichi)

This is a traditional herb used by the Chontal people of Mexico to enhance dreams and promote lucid dreaming. Believed to support restful sleep and mental clarity, it’s also used for digestive aid and mild relaxation. Traditionally, leaves are smoked or brewed as tea before sleep.

Tea Recipe:
Steep 1–2 teaspoons of dried Calea zacatechichi leaves in hot (not boiling) water for 5–10 minutes. Strain and drink 30 minutes before bed. Sweeten with honey if desired, as the herb is naturally bitter. Use with caution and respect traditional guidance.

Note: This plant tastes awful but wow what incredible dreams! Dreaming is very important to mental health, and this herb will help with that! It contains chlorogenic acid, which can help with attention, executive function, and memory.

I can't express how bitter this tea is! I recommend making an iced tea and drinking it in shots like tequila, with a lime or lemon wedge to help cover the bitter after taste. The reward is so worth the few seconds of bitter taste tho!
